The Blackberry Bush Nursery opened in 1999 and is situated in the village of Countesthorpe.  Originally it was the old village school and we have converted it to a beautiful nursery which has a warm and welcoming environment. There are plenty of opportunities for babies and children to have fun and explore their surroundings.

Our newly refurbished baby room is bright and airy with lots of activities for the babies to investigate and develop their new skills. There are areas for play and feeding, as well as cosy places to relax and rest.  They have their own outdoor area where they are able to explore and be curious about their environment.  This calm and caring environment gives a home from home atmosphere.

"Children benefit from an enabling, well-resourced environment and staff have a secure knowledge of how young children learn through their own interest' Ofsted May 2014.

The area for the 2 to 5 year olds has been carefully planned and designed with the children's individual needs in mind. There is a spacious area where a broad range of educational opportunities are available for the children to learn and develop. Children can free-flow to the garden giving them a choice of where they wish to play, whatever the weather.  They may choose to climb through the tunnel, go on the slide, tend to the vegetable patch, ride a trike or play in the covered den.

'Managers and staff form positive partnerships with parents, which ensures they are kept well informed about their children's accomplishments and can support learning at home'. Ofsted May 2014.

The nursery also has a wonderful and exciting Discovery Cove which engages children's curiosity, develops their IT skills and gives them a chance to relax using music and sensory lights. We are also in walking distance of the local park, a garden centre and we take walks across the fields to help the children understand their natural world. Our experienced, qualified and enthusiastic team ensure that your child's individual needs and interests are met at all times.

'Managers and staff have a secure understanding of their role and responsibility to safeguard children." Ofsted May 2014.
