The Lilac Bush is the newest addition to Bush Babies and opened in March 2012. It is situated on the edge of Glen Parva and is a beautifully converted Victorian building that has been refurbished to the highest of specifications. It is on an excellent, regular bus route and is within easy walking distance of South Wigston train station.
The nursery is welcoming and bright and has two floors. The babies are accommodated on the first floor, while the toddlers and pre-school children have access to the ground floor. The rooms have a balance of well defined spaces and variety of activities which encourages motivated and happy play. There is a beautiful and caring home-like atmosphere which allows the children to be relaxed, comfortable and free to learn.
Our staff team have been with Bush Babies for many years and have a wealth of experience. Positive relationships are built with parents as this is an essential part of their child's well being and time with us.
"Staff develop close relationships with the children so they settle quickly at nursery". Ofsted 2014
We have a fantastic purpose built outdoor play area that is a place for the children to discover a world of learning experiences. Children are given the best opportunities to get to grips with the world around them. Our free flow play lets children choose where they want to play throughout their day; whether it be on the slide, in the sand, smelling the flowers, tending to the vegetables or spending time in the outdoor wooden den where they can rest, chat or play.
The magic of IT is introduced to the children in our Discovery Cove. The children can explore the touch screens, hands-on and programmable equipment. Children's interests are actively engaged and development of their sensory, fine motor skills and imagination is expanded - soft lighting creates a calming mood where the children can relax and listen to stories and rhymes.
We have recently been awarded a Quality Review grade 1 from Leicestershire County Council for being an outstanding and wonderful nursery with very happy children.
